
In San Diego, the ultimate Comic Convention, Comic-Con is taking place, during which, a Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe panel occurred with Ed Boon and the game’s story writer Jimmy Palmiotti. While fans prepare for Midway’s cross-over fighting game, details appeared early regarding additions to the roster like Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Sonya, Superman, Batman and Flash. Now at Comic-Con, more additions to the roster have been announced which include Batman’s arch-nemesis, The Joker. Joinging the clown prince of crime is Hal Jordan as the Green Lantern and Shazam making their debut with veterens Liu Kang, Shang Tsu, Jax and Kitana. A limited edition package will be available upon release which include a comic book illustrated by John Tobias, of Mortal Kombat fame. There will be a PS2 exclusive version featuring the Mortal Kombat titles Deception , Shaolin Monk & Armageddon that will retail for $29.99. Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe is scheduled for release this November.
