The IGN team had an interview with Hideo Kojima, in which he told them "an official game announcement will be made at E3". He did not, however, give any details as to what this new game might be. Could this be a new game, or perhaps a game that already has a franchise? A new Metal Gear has been rumoured many times, and a new Zone of the Enders or Policenauts would certainly be good. This may be a good time for Kojima to get his hands on something new. Kojima Productions is at hard work on Metal Gear Solid Touch, an iPhone game based on the award-winning franchise launching later this Spring. Kojima’s first GDC keynote titled "Solid Game Design: Making the ’Impossible’ is scheduled for today at 10:30 a.m. PDT. The keynote will focus on conquering various development obstacles with creative game design, using the driving game design philosophies behind the Metal Gear series as reference.
