* The following was a 2009 April’s Fool joke in collaboration with Nintendo. * Early today, we brought you news of our Japanese contact over at Nintendo regarding the Wii remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time . After a few hours of trying to get a hold of him this morning, our e-mail box was filled with bounced back e-mails for some "strange reason" saying that the e-mail address does not exist anymore. Basically, he does not work for Nintendo anymore. Regardless of this, our contact is defying the Japanese firm and sent us a few more infos on the game tonight: - The game would be a revamped version of the N64 game, - The game would be available in Japan first and coming to North America sometime after Christmas, - The game would ship with a peripheral that would have "flute capabilities", - Our source was pointing at some kind of DS-Wii connectivity but we did not get enough info on that matter but he did mention a DS version of "Ocarina". We were trying to get a hold of Nintendo for more information but they haven’t responded to our requests yet. Remember that according to our source, an official announcement is expected around April 5, the North American launch date of the Nintendo DSi. We’ll continue to investigate this.
