Review: Hasbro Family Game Night (XBLA)

My family used to have ‘Family Game Night’ every Friday night when my sister and I were kids. Each week was someone else’s turn to pick the game we would play between dinner and bedtime. Every week, I would either pick Yahtzee or try to convince whoever’s turn it was, that we should also play Yahtzee (especially since my sister always picked Monopoly and always won). Now, as an adult, my husband and I love Yahtzee together. In fact, we love it so much, we own two of them, just in case we lose the parts to one; at least that’s how we like to rationalize it when, in truth, we forgot the game was already sitting in a yet-to-be-unpacked moving box. The tradition of Family Game Night is a time old tradition. EA’s Bright Light studio is bringing that tradition back with console versions of Hasbro’s classics in their new kid-friendly title, Hasbro Family Game Night. Here we take a look at the four games at launch, Battleship, Connect Four, Scrabble, and Yahtzee.  Read our Full Review .
