
It’s no great secret that Nintendo is enjoying immense sales success this generation of gaming. Both its platforms, the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS, have far outsold the competition, and the larger user base is reflected in its software sales. Nintendo released an update concerning their first-party games’ sales, revealing that 27 of them have broached one million units sold. Leading the pack on the Wii front is Wii Sports with an estimated 45.7 million units sold worldwide Coming in far behind at second is Wii Play at 22.9 million and third is Wii Fit at 18.2 million. When it comes to the DS, Nintendogs reigns champ, the only title to have sold more than 20 million copies (its sales weigh in at 22.2 million units). Behind that, New Super Mario Bros, Brain Age, and Pokemon Diamond/Pearl have moved 18.4 million, 17.4 million, and 16.8 million units respectively. A full list of the games can be found below:
