There hasn’t exactly been a bevy of information released about Metroid: Other M. Recently, however, co-creator Yoshio Sakamoto did reveal to Famitsu that the game will explore Samus’ humanity much more than previous games in the beloved series.

"...this time we’re strongly depicting the human side of Samus through such things as movies. She’s a strong woman, but she also has a fragile side. We want to make a game whose charms can be felt from the story areas and these human touches as well. It’s an action game, but it’s capable of having a clear emotional side."
With three teams working on the game, (Team Ninja, Nintendo, and D-Rockets), Sakamoto has acknowledged that they have encountered problems. However, overall, production is progressing extremely well, and the three teams work through any problems together.
While there’s no solid release date yet, Nintendo are hoping to have the game out later this year.
