With seven tracks already in the Music Store Harmonix can’t seem to get enough of Nine Inch Nails. Next week four tracks from the rock group’s recently remastered album “Pretty Hate Machine” will be available

Available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii on Tuesday, March 1.

  • “Terrible Lie”
  • “Head Like A Hole”
  • “Sanctified”
  • “The Only Time”

All four tracks are available individually or together as “Pretty Hate Pack 01” for a discount.

A Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrade is available for “Head Like A Hole”.

To celebrate the upcoming release of the Fender Squier Stratocaster Guitar Controller eleven older DLC tracks are receiving Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades. These will also be available on March 1 alongside the NIN content.

  • Blink 182 - “Dammit”
  • Boston - “More Than A Feeling”
  • Creedence Clearwater Revival - “Bad Moon Rising”
  • Creedence Clearwater Revival - “Fortunate Son”
  • Eve 6 - “Inside Out”
  • The James Gang - “Funk #49”
  • The Knack - “My Sharona (Cover Version)”
  • Lynyrd Skynyrd - “Simple Man”
  • Metallica - “...And Justice For All”
  • The Offspring - “Self Esteem”
  • Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble - “Pride and Joy”

All upgrades are the customary $0.99 price and of course you need to own the track before purchasing the upgrade.

NOTE: Since these are “legacy” tracks no Keys, Pro Keys, or Harmonies are being added.

Fans have been asking for these Pro upgrades for older DLC and Harmonix delivers again. Has anyone bought any of the Pro instruments? Are there any older songs you’d like to receive the upgrade?

Evolve Toronto Launch Event

Last night as the clock ticked down to the midnight release of the highly anticipated 4v1 monster hunting extravaganza known as Evolve, Xbox and EB Games threw a launch party in Toronto to celebrate the game's imminent release.  Attendees stepped off the sixth floor elevator and were instantly greeted with some thick foliage and monster footprints.  It appeared that the downtown loft space had been magically transformed to the planet Shear, complete with staff decked out in garb ready for some big game hunting.  Ammon belts, camo and other accessories straight from Ted Nugent's closet were the threads and animal skulls, furs and weaponry adorned the walls.

DLC Talk: Dishonored - The Knife of Dunwall

Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall is an impressive little bit of DLC. I should emphasize “little” though, as it is a relatively short experience. Just when the story seems to get going it ends - or, rather, it “kind of” ends.

A New Challenger Approaches

With the exception of the Virtual Boy I've owned every gaming system released by Nintendo.  I considered myself well-versed in what the company had to offer until I started hearing about amiibos.   The official website didn't help clear up my confusion.  "Discover the Power Inside" greets vistors upon arrival. Inside of what?  Do the amiibos do something?  Can they move around like animatronic robots or are they Nintendo's real life version of chibi-robo?

The World’s Top Beers To Enjoy While Playing Classic Video Games

Note: This blog posting in no way condones the excessive drinking of alcohol. If you are of legal age in your country please drink responsibly.

“Door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel and noodles” are listed as a couple of the Maria von Trapp’s favorite things in The Sound of Music. My tastes are a little more pedestrian as two of my favorite things are video games, artisan beer and non-artisan beer.
