Dirt 3 Collector’s Edition: Most Expensive Ever?
Posted 2 years ago By kingquagmire - David Collins

How much is too much for a Collector’s Edition of a game? $80? $100? $150? How about $300?! Yep, you read that right, $300. And no, I’m not talking about an uber-limited special run of only ten copies that you can only get through charity auctions. I’m talking about a Collector’s Edition that you can run down to your local GameStop and pre-order.
So, what will the 300 bones net you? A copy of the game, of course. But on top of that, those of you wealthy enough to invest in this will also get a real, functional RC car. And no, not one of those cheap kiddie cars with a low-end camera and a mic tacked on. I’m talking about a real, professional quality RC car. Here’s the specs:
A Model 7309 Ken Block Gymkhana Fiesta, fully assembled, Ready-To-Race®, with TQ 2.4GHz High Output radio system with Traxxas Link, Velineon® 380 motor, VXL-3m ESC, 7.2 volt NiMH battery & charger, and ProGraphix® painted body.
There’s a lot more details available here. So, are you in? To be honest, I’m still in shock that we, as an industry collective, have seriously thought that a making more and more expensive Collector’s Edition is a good idea. Either way, I’ll be curious to see the sales figures for this sku come May 24th when the game launches.

Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall is an impressive little bit of DLC. I should emphasize “little” though, as it is a relatively short experience.
